Job Opportunity #1- RETAIL STORE CLERK

“Warrior-One” has been a high-end manufacturer and distributor of martial arts supplies for the last 5 years. Our product line specializes in Mixed Martial Arts and Grappling gear. “Warrior-One” is one of the fastest growing martial arts supply stores in the Seattle area and we are looking to fill the following position.

“Warrior-One” Representative – RETAIL STORE CLERK

We have an exciting entry-level position as a retail store clerk in our brand new martial arts supply store! We are looking for a stable, mature, and very reliable person to fill this part-time (16 hrs/wk) position. This position is starting as a part-time position, but with the right candidate will likely move to a full-time opportunity. This position will involve the daily running of the retail store, but it will also involve interfacing with various local martial arts schools by visiting their facilities, and assist them in making the best purchases for their schools or stores.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Educating our customers and assisting them with purchasing the proper gear for their martial arts training.
Processing store purchases.
Ability to work on some weekends and holidays (seasonal).
Internet Order/Mail Order Processing.
Data/Order Entry into internal system
Telephone customer service (no cold calls, no telemarketing)
Numerical filing of invoices (general office responsibilities)
Extensive paid training of products/internal system & procedures

The ideal candidate must possess:

Ability to prioritize tasks & responsibilities
Mature/professional demeanor; must be able to work independently.
Punctual, good attendance, reliable & a team player
Working knowledge of the internet/PC/email/general office equipment
Must speak & understand English fluently
Excellent skills in working with the public and sharing a passion for the martial arts.
Ability to lift 40 -50 lbs.
Must pass background, physical, and drug screens.

Terms of Employment:

Start Date: Immediately

Work Days & Hours: Tuesday/Thursday from 12 to 4pm

Fridays 4 to 8 pm

Saturdays 11:30am to 3:30pm

Compensation:

$10 per hour plus bonus commissions, and extra bonuses on other sales.
1 week (5 days) of paid sick leave for the year.
Discounts on all of our martial arts gear and apparel.
Paid vacation after 1^st year (from date of hire).

Job Opportunity #2 - MARTIAL ARTS INSTRUCTORS (KIDS & ADULTS)

"Warrior-One" is not only a martial arts supply store, but also has a 1600 sq. ft. training area for martial arts classes. We are currently taking resumes to bring in some more martial arts instructors. Currently we have classes in Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness Kickboxing. We hope to bring in some other disciplines, as well as more instructors for our current programs. In particular we are looking for an outstanding Kids Martial Arts Instructor(s).

The ideal candidate must possess:

Black Belt or equivalent in the arts being taught.
Ability to prioritize tasks & responsibilities
Mature/professional demeanor.
Punctual, good attendance, and very reliable.
Must speak/understand English fluently. Having the same skills in Spanish is highly preferable.
Excellent skills in working with the public and sharing a passion for the martial arts.
Must pass background, physical, and drug screens.

Facility Rental Opportunity

“Warrior-One” retail store has a 1600 sq ft. training area available for martial arts and other fitness type classes. This space can be rented hourly by martial arts, pilates, yoga, or other fitness instructors and their students. Within this space we are set up with the best gear in the industry. The floor is fully matted with Swain "Gold" Medal tatami style mats (best in the industry). The walls are covered with wall mats. There are muay thai pads, focus mitts, jump ropes, padded weapons, headgear, boxing gloves, punching bags, and much more equipment that can be used. There is also access to a big screen T.V. with VCR/DVD player, a CD player/Boombox and a self-serve beverage center.

Terms of Facility Rental:

Days & Hours: We have a variety of morning/days/evenings available.

Rental Cost:

For groups, the hourly rate varies depending upon how many hours you will be renting per month and the times that you will want to reserve. The basic price range is $20-$35 per hour. Contact us for more specific details.
If you are a single person that wants to come in and use the facility, you can come in during our normal retail store hours for a $10 drop-in fee and use the facility. The retail store hours are currently: Tu/Th 12-4pm, Fri. 4-8pm, and Sat. 11:30-3:30pm.
